New EU Public Procurement Rules

This book aims at providing an easily accessible collection of the core EU rules that apply to Public Procurement and Concession Contracts. European public procurement law consists of various Directives that provide when and how a public authority must invite tenders for certain contracts (contracts and concessions from public authorities). With the 2014 "package" on public procurement and concession contracts, which constituted a major overhaul of the EU public procurement legal framework, the procurement law rules have been subject to a process of modernisation, in order to make procedures easier and administratively less burdensome, and to create flexibility for public authorities enabling better procurement outcomes. For the convenience of academics, practitioners and market operators, this book provides an easy accessible collection of the core EU Directives regulating public procurement in Europe today.
