This toolbook has been co-authored by Emmelie Wijckmans, Frank Wijckmans, Maaike Visser, Karolien Francken, Annemie Van de Vliet and Morgane Smets, and was edited by Emmelie Wijckmans. Emmelie heads the Horizontals and Abuse of Dominance practice of Faros and is a trainer within the Faros Compliance team. She regularly publishes in the field of Competition Law. One of her latest publications is a practical handbook on Belgian Competition Law in the “Bos Door De Bomen” series, of which she is a co-author. Frank Wijckmans is senior partner at Faros. He handled some of the most notorious cases both at EU level and the Belgian domestic level, also in the horizontals area. Frank is professor at the Brussels School of Competition and assessor at the BCA. Maaike heads the Merger Control practice at Faros and has extensive experience with cartel investigations and private damages litigation. Maaike is a member of the editorial board of the competition law journal Competitio. Karolien is in charge of Faros’ innovative Compliance practice. In addition, the Competition Law practice of Karolien includes private damages litigation and horizontal cooperation agreements. Annemie focuses her practice on abuse of dominance, horizontal agreements and cartels. She is also a trainer in the Compliance team of Faros. Morgane Smets is a Compliance consultant at Faros and develops and conducts tailor-made Competition Law Compliance trainings.
