The European Parliament is the European Union’s most democratic institution. Despite this, it remains little known. This book aims to further its recognition. Bernard Rouffignac’s photographs tell the story of life day after day in this extraordinary hive of activity, even in its most remote parts, where twenty-seven political cultures and twenty-three languages can be heard. Maroun Labaki’s texts explain the workings of this Parliament which while being like any other Parliament is also so different, and which harbours a great future at the service of European democracy.
